Curriculum Implementation Support Program (CISP) training workshop

A two-day Curriculum Implementation Support Program (CISP) training workshop successfully organized by the Curriculum Committee of Government Medical College (GMC), Amritsar, on September 18th and 19th.


In accordance with NMC guidelines, thirty faculty members from various departments across the institution actively participated in this faculty development program.


Key details of the workshop included:


  - Inauguration: The program was formally inaugurated on September 18th by Dr. Rajiv Devgan, Director Principal, GMC Amritsar.

  - NMC Observer: Dr. Rohit John Chaudhary from CMC, Ludhiana, monitored the event as the official observer appointed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

  - Curriculum Committee Unit Members: The workshop was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Loveena Oberoi, Dr. Mridu Gupta, Dr. Ajay Chhabra, Dr. Navyugraj Singh, Dr. Saroj Bala, Dr. Rajiv Arora, and Dr. Bhupinder Singh Walia.


The training focused primarily on Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) and its newer components, including Early Clinical Exposure, the AETCOM module, innovative teaching-learning methods, skill training, and student-doctor clinical rotations. The session was highly interactive, fostering engaging discussions throughout.


The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participating faculty members.
